Cultural & Religious Godwar Festival!

Godwar Festival represents the complete Art Culture and Religion of this region known as Godwar situated in the Pali district of Rajasthan.  It is celebrated in the month of March for three days every year and is organized by District Administration Pali and Department of Tourism, Rajasthan to attract the Tourists.

The Festival starts with the folk dances and folk artists’ musical presentation of Rajasthan in Narwania Lake. Some traditional sports like turban tying, tug of war and many other races are the major attractions of the fair. In the evening the folk cultural programme is followed by Bhajans as they attract a large number of tourists as well as the local people. Not only this, you can also enjoy various safaris such as jeep safari, horse safari, camel safari at the Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur wild life sanctuaries and rock climbing at Narlai Village.

Programme Schedule:

9th April,2013

Inauguration at Bali Fort at 6 PM

Followed by folk dance performances by artists of Rajasthan, Gujrat, Punjab and from other states.-7 PM

10th April, 2013

Time & Venue: Deoki Badi Sadari at 7 PM

Folk dance performance by artists of Rajasthan, Gujrat, Punjab and from other states.

11th April, 2013

Venue: Sonana Khetlaji

10 am- religious procession at nearby villages

7 pm-Performances of different folk dances by artists of Rjasthan , Gujrat, Punjab and other states.

12th April, 2013

Venue: Sonana Khetlaji

10 am- Performance of Ghair dances from different parts of Rajasthan

2pm- Various Competitions like Turban Tying, Tug of war, Marwari horses acrobatics
