Attention all music aficionados! Get geared up to enjoy the musical heritage of gypsies in the Sun City of Rajasthan- Jodhpur. Coming March 13-15, the Mehrangarh Fort is playing a host to the Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival, where a contemporary view of desert music and dance will be exhibited.

Every year, the fort hosts scores of musical festival where National and International musicians gather and give mesmerizing musical performances. This March, it’s getting ready for the first edition of the Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival. Here, artists from different gypsy traditions will collaborate, create soulful music and bring forth cultures and traditions that appeal to the people world over.

This three-day long music and dance extravaganza will witness the participation of renowned Spanish artists like Pepe Habichuela, Chano Dominguez, Josemi Carmona to name a few, performing with Rajasthan’s Kalbelia tribe. The fest will highlight the rich heritage of Rajasthan and the importance of keeping folk music alive.
