Exhibition on Rajasthani culture in Delhi today



An exhibition on Rajasthan Culture is being organized in Delhi on November 21 and 22 at Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts in Delhi. It will feature four key areas that the state is famous for—arts and crafts, travel and tourism, gems and jewellery, and garments and textile.

Being organized by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum Trust and spearheaded by Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur, it will showcase handpicked textile items, garments and fashion featuring the age-old techniques of leheriya, gota patti and tie-and-dye, complemented by the traditional kundan-polki jewellery and contemporary accessories.


The exhibition, which was inaugurated by Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje today morning, will also display selected handicrafts, objects d’art, hand-tufted carpets, blue pottery, paintings and lacquer products.
