Rajasthan Tourism Once Again Bags The “Best Decorated Stall” at IITM

The Department of Tourism (DOT), Government of Rajasthan, once again bagged the “best decorated stall” award at the India International Travel Mart (IITM -28 to 30 November) at Hyderabad

Based on Bikaner’s Anup Mahal (Junagarh Fort) – the Rajasthan ‘stall’, reflecting the State’s art, architecture and culture, has become a centre of attraction at various travel marts pan India.

The award was received by Dy. Director, DOT, Mr. Anand Tripathi.

Rajasthan has also won other awards as well during the current calendar year. In the India Travel Mart at Jaipur (Best Tourism Destination Awareness Award) ; Favourite City Award ( Jaipur) by Outlook Traveller and ‘ T Plus & Readers Choice Award’, ‘Best Wedding Destination Award’(Udaipur); and ‘Best Luxury Train of India Award ‘(Palace on Wheels) by ‘ Travellers Plus Leisure India, South Asia magazine’. The prestigious Lonely Planet magazine has also bestowed upon Rajasthan the ‘Best Family Destination Award’.

DOT, Rajasthan participates in almost all the prestigious domestic travel marts and fairs where the officers of the Department provide information from their stalls while handing over its attractive publications. They meet the tour operators, travel agents, domestic and foreign tourists and hard-sell Rajasthan in terms of its USP like monuments, heritage, history, fairs, festivals even the vibrant desert.
