Here is another chapter of Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) 2018 taking place in the fabled Pink City from April 22 to April 24. The event is being organized by the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan; Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). It is supported by leading national and regional associations like Hotels & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO).
Apart from the host state – Rajasthan, Tourism departments of 9 other states – Gujarat, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Punjab and Tamil Nadu are also participating. The main focus during the 3-day travel bazaar will be on inbound tourism. Inbound tourism generally refers to, when a person travels from his/her home to another country for not less than 24 hours and not more than a few months for leisure. The 10th edition will host B2B meetings with over 280 tour operators from around 55 countries.
During the exhibition, do not miss the special showcase of the luxurious train ‘Palace on Wheels’ by the Rajasthan Tourism Department on 23 April at Durgapura Station, Jaipur.

The festival will commence with the mesmerizing performances of “Dhamaal,” a celebration of the drumming traditions across India.The days that follow will witness many artistic presentations including dance productions– “Thari, The Loom” by Padma Shri Malavika Sarukkai and the magical performance of Attakkalari’s Bhina Vinyasa, combining movement and digital art will also hit the right note with the audience.
However, the star performance of the event will be- “Ismat Apa Ke Naam” directed and enacted by actor Naseeruddin Shah with his wife, Ratna Pathak Shah and daughter Sheeba Shah will mesmerize the audience with their enthralling performances.
The festival will also witness a prominent theatre play – “Khwab Sa” directed by Atul Kumar, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream;”. The premiere of “Elephant in the Room” directed and enacted by Yuki Elias will also be part of Navras this year!

The much awaited 14th edition of glittering jewellery event – Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS 2017) will begin from tomorrow i.e. 22nd December, 2017 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) at Sitapura. The 4-day event will be organised on the theme “Ruby… Red, Rare and Royal” this year.
Spread over an area of 1.75 lakh sq. ft, B2C and B2B visitors will get to see more than 800 booths at the mega event. These booths will feature not only brilliant gemstones but also fashion jewellery in its contemporary as well as traditional forms. This was informed by the JJS Convener, Mr. Vimal Chand Surana. He further added that for the first time 3 stalls will be provided to the budding designers in the show by JJS. More than 180 top retailers are to participate in the show.
As per the spokesperson of the show, the JJS will have a new dimension this year in form of the Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF). This festival will be an integrated part of the JJS for the first time and will now be a regular annual feature. JJDF will feature elements like talk shows, wall displays, idea café, book launch, bloggers’ meet, seminars and artist workshops.
Spokesperson of JJS, Mr. Ajay Kala informed that more than 65% booths are made on raw space thereby meaning that they all are designer booths. The exhibitors spend, time and energy to beautify the booth. Furthermore, there will be free shuttle service for the visitors from Ram Niwas Bagh and SMS Investment Ground to the venue from 9 am to 4 pm. From the JJS venue, the buses will leave from 1 pm to 7 pm. Special business hour timings from 10 am to 1.30 pm have been kept for B2B interactions for the convenience of the jewellers.
