A new train is on the cards for tourists. The popularity of Rajasthan’s Sambhar Lake has increased and the place is seeing good number of tourists. To make this spot more attractive, government is planning a dedicated train for Sambhar. This train will show visitors the natural process of salt getting deposited in the lake.


There is already a meter gauge line in place and the train will ply on that. The train will travel a distance of about 14 kilometers. Tourists will be able to board the train at a station called Jhapok. The train is expected to be functional some time next year.

IRCTC announced special packages for ‘Bharat Darshan’


For an avid traveller, there is an incredible opportunity coming up which was announced by IRCTC on Tuesday. The train will take you for “Bharat Darshan” including various historical and pilgrimage destinations across the country at really affordable prices. The journey will take place from October- December in various lots.

Special Train Between Jaipur And Delhi For Summer Vacations


Before the summer vacations officially begin, the Indian Railways have introduced extra special trains between Delhi and Jaipur from April 10 to June 29, 2016.
Keeping in mind the rush each year, the summer special train works on the same day departure and return journey. The train will leave Jaipur at 7:55 am to reach Sarai Rohilla in Delhi at 1:20 pm the same day. The return train will depart from Sarai Rohilla, Delhi at 2:30 pm to reach Jaipur at 7:55 pm.

The main station on which the train halts are Gandhinagar Station Jaipur, Dausa, Bandikui, Alwar, Rewari, Gurgaon and Delhi Cantt. The superfast train run on 6 days a week except Thursdays.


Experience Different Aspects Of Rajasthan With The Desert Circuit

The Desert Circuit is a semi – luxurious train which offers a package of 4 nights and 5 days. The train departs s from New Delhi on a five day odyssey with an array of deluxe facilities. The ‘Desert Circuit covers Rajasthan’s famed cities of sprawling deserts Jaisalmer and the eclectic heritage of the Pink City – Jaipur.

This special train which runs on the lines of the royal Palace on Wheels has its first halt at Jaisalmer for 2 days where tourists can enjoy the camel safari, sunset and visit the Sonar Haveli, Patwa Ki Haveli, Gadisar Lake and many others. Shekhawati gets broad gauge connectivity to Delhi and Haryana



Shekhawati the popular frescoed town of Rajasthan on Tuesday received the best gift from Railway Ministry of India! The tourist town, known as the ‘open air art gallery’ got the direct connectivity of rail route for Haryana, NCR, followed by Mumbai and Ahmadabad via broad gauge.

The first train of the route ‘Sikar Delhi Sarai Rohilla’ was flagged of by Rail Minister on August 01, 2015 along with another passenger Train between Sikar and Rewari via Loharu.

With this remarkable initiative, the people who wish to visit Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Chirawa, Pilani and Rewari, Loharu will get direct train access from Haryana and Delhi without visiting Jaipur.

Sikar, Jhunjhunu, and other parts of Shekhawati region are the most visited tourist destinations for their magnificent havelis (mansions) and incredibly painted walls. Earlier, the tourists and domestic travelers had to come to Jaipur to reach their destinations. Now they can directly board a train from Sikar and reach Rewari, Gurgaon and New Delhi via Jhunjhunu-Chirawa-Loharu route. Also to return they will have a direct train from these destinations for New Delhi itself.


Special train for Baba Ramdev Fair in Rajasthan

In view of the heavy rush of devotees of Baba Ramdev for his annual fair , the Indian railway has started a “Mela Special Train” from Jodhpur to Ramdevra from August 19, 2014.

The first Mela Special Train has chugged on the wheels from Jodhpur at 09.30 am. Below is the list of stations where the Mela Stations will halt.

Rai Ka Bagh : 09.37 am

Mandore : 09.50 am

Marwar Mathania : 10.08 am

Tinwari : 10.19 am

Osian : 10.39 am

Faloudi : 11.45 am

Ramdevra : 01.00 pm

On return from Ramdevra to Jodhpur, the Mela Specia train will begin its journey from Ramdevra at 02.00 pm and halt at following stations:-

Tinwari : 03.55 pm

Marwar Mathania : 04.07 pm

Mandore : 04.28 pm

Jaipur Lucknow Tri-weekly train started from February 04, 2014

Railways’ another promised train will run on tracks from Today. The train 19715/19716 Jaipur-Lucknow Junction (LJn), announced in the rail budget 2013-14, will start run from February 4 from Lucknow Jn as a special train 09718. From February 7, it will start running regularly from Jaipur and from February 8 from LJn.

19715, will run from Jaipur on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday while train 19716 will run from Lucknow on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. It will depart from Jaipur at 09:45 pm to reach Lucknow at 10:25 am the next day. In the return direction, the train will depart from Lucknow at 12:25 pm to reach Jaipur at 01:45 am.

The train will stop at Kanpur Central, Kanpur Anwarganj, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Kasganj, Hathras city, Mathura Cantt., Mathura Jn, Acchnera, Bharatpur, Nadwai, Kherli, Bandikui, Dausa and Gandhinagar en route in both the directions.

IRCTC’s New Year Gift for Jaipur Citizens


A special train would take city people to five jyotirlingas in three states.

Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will run a special train to pilgrimage for the citizens of Jaipur. This pilgrimage train would visit to five jyotirlingas in three states of the country.

The tour will start from January 20 from Jaipur and will return after 10 days. The IRCTC has scheduled the itinerary of the train in which the train will reach Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh on January 21. Here passengers could visit Mahakaleshwar. After that, the train will reach Dwarka in Gujarat on January 22 and after the night stay could visit the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga next day. The pilgrims would visit the Somnath Jyotirlinga on January 24 at Veraval. The train will go to Aurangabad on January 25 and visit the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga on January 26. The train will proceed to Nasik, where the passengers would visit the last pilgrimage Trayambkeshwar Jyotirlinga in Nasik. The train will return back to Jaipur on January 29, 2014

The tour package will provide breakfast, lunch, dinner and lodging during journey. A total of Rs 5,500 per person would be charged for the tour. It includes whole facilities during the journey.
