The Great Indian Travel Bazaar’18 Starts Tomorrow

With the enormous increase in the inflow of tourists during the last one year, the tourism industry in India has seen a drastic change. Here is another chapter of Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) 2018 taking place in the fabled Pink City from April 22 to April 24.  The event is being organized by the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan; Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). It is supported by leading national and regional associations like Hotels & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO).


Apart from the host state – Rajasthan, Tourism departments of 9 other statesGujarat, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Punjab and Tamil Nadu are also participating. The main focus during the 3-day travel bazaar will be on inbound tourism. Inbound tourism generally refers to, when a person travels from his/her home to another country for not less than 24 hours and not more than a few months for leisure. The 10th edition will host B2B meetings with over 280 tour operators from around 55 countries.

During the exhibition, do not miss the special showcase of the luxurious train ‘Palace on Wheels’ by the Rajasthan Tourism Department on 23 April at Durgapura Station, Jaipur.

Raj Mahal Palace Jaipur to get a new look



Set in the rambling greens, the Stunning Raj Mahal Palace is going to get a refurbished look in collaboration with t he internationally acclaimed SUJAN Group. With its awe inspiring original marble staircase, intricate chandeliers and mirrored ceilings, the SUJAN Raj Mahal Palace will initially comprise 20 suites and rooms, two restaurants, a bar, swimming pool, as well as a SUJÁN Spa.

Originally built in 1729 by the Maharaja of Jaipur, the palace has stood witness to over two hundred years of history.  In 1821, Rajmahal became the official residence of the British Resident Political Officer of Rajputana and in 1958 HH Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II – the celebrated and dashing ‘Maharaja Jai Singh’ – chose it as his private residence.  Over the decades this remarkable ‘Grande Dame’ has hosted Her Majesty the Queen & the Duke of Edinburgh along with several other members of the British Royal Family. Celebrated personalities such as Jackie Kennedy, Lord & Lady Mountbatten and many of the international ‘jet set’ have been part of the history of the Palace.

SUJÁN will reopen the palace by November 2014 in its latest avatar, completely redesigned and refurbished with vigorous flair by the highly acclaimed and accomplished designer Adil Ahmad.  Specially commissioned for this unique task by The Royal Family of Jaipur, Ahmad is also the Creative Director of Charbagh, Good Earth.

We hope that Raj Mahal Palace is revived and once again celebrated; in the true spirit of royal Rajputana.

Alsisar Haveli Exteriors Alsisar Haveli in located in the heart of Pink City of Rajasthan. Built in the year 1862, the history of this haveli dates back to the 18th century. It highlights the splendor of old Rajput days and the regal of rajasthani experience for the guests. The large elevated platform that dominates the central area of the ground floor, which was once used for get-together by the gentlemen of the house is now used for hosting puppet shows and folk dances for guests.
