Jaipur is all set to host the Jewellers Association Show’19 from April 6th to April 9th at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC), Jaipur and we are already excited. The show is speculated to be much more extravagant than it has been and every jewellery lover in Jaipur will have a chance to participate in one way or the other. With jewellers from all around Jaipur being prepped to showcase their designs, and with over 500 booths’ space, the JAS is all set to create headlines internationally and to set a new standard in the jewellery industry.

JAS will be in its 13th edition this year. JAS has been internationally acclaimed as one of the greatest jewellery show in India and has been a feast for the people of Jaipur. Over 500 booths will be set up in over 100000 Sq. Ft. in Jaipur’s state-of-the-art Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center, Sitapura. The four-day long gems and jewellery event will feature jewellery, relics, gemstones and much more for all the jewellery and art enthusiasts. Started back in 2007, JAS had managed to gain undeniable presence over the world and has highly esteemed Jaipur.

Last year the people visiting the show were over 30000, this year, we believe the JAS will smash all its previous records. The Jewellers Association started in 1927 with 37 members as an effort to bring together the jewellers of Jaipur, currently, there are over 3000 members of the Jewellery Association. The show is aimed at providing the jewellery enthusiasts and jewellery lovers a platform for converging, planting and exchanging new ideas, all while drawing inspiration from others. JAS brings together manufacturers, traders, artisans, designers, retailers, and wholesalers, with everyone fulfilling others’ needs, it is surely an environment of its own kind and is unlike anything else.

4th World Living Heritage Festival in Udaipur

The 4th World Living Heritage Festival, being organized by the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), jointly with UNESCO New Delhi Office, is bringing together a spectrum of artists and academicians, activists and student-delegates from India and overseas.

On October 17th, 2018, the Festival will begin with Ashwa Poojan – A Timeless Gratitude to Equinity. It is a ‘regal festival’ where Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, as the 76th Custodian of the House of Mewar, worships the horse and reaffirms the time-tested ties of the warrior with his steed.

The fascinating  World Living Heritage festival focused on living heritage will be hosted in Udaipur on 17th and 18th October 2018. The French Ambassador to India, Alexandre Ziegler will inaugurate the 4th World Living Heritage Festival here at the Sabhagaar Conference Hall, The Durbar Hall, Fateh Prakash Palace Convention Centre, on October 18th, 2018. The visit and participation of the French Ambassador to one of the ‘Best Cities in the World’ are going to be some of the highlights.

The Festival will be a feast for the tourists who throng Udaipur during the season and its residents who have an ear for music and care to laud the talents of both young and veteran artists.

A Weekend To The Cinematic World

With the Oscar winners wooing the world on one end, Rajasthan’s education hub Kota is all set to host a cinematic affair the upcoming weekend. The city will host the two –day Chambal International Film Festival on 10th and 11th March’18 which is being organized by Anugoonj Media Pvt. Ltd.

The festival has entries of 316 films from 28 countries over the world including Switzerland, US, Canada, Greece, Germany, China and many others, out of which 160 will be screened during the event. The awards have been given 15 categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor/Actress and several others which will be judged and presented during the event by acclaimed artists.

The event will also screen ‘Harishchandrachi Factory’ which was selected as India’s official entry to the Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category. It is a Marathi film directed by Paresh Mokashi which depicted the struggle of Dadasaheb Phalke  – father of the Indian cinema in making Raja Harishchandra – India’s first full length feature film.

Kota being a hub for students fighting various competitive exams, hope this event adds a small cherry on their cake in their respective genres. Also to add, Kota being honored to have the miniatures Seven Wonders of The World, the event will also boost tourism in the city.

The festival is a good mix of music, food and fun and is aimed at showcasing the India’s rich and vibrant creative music community to the world. It is held at the Alsisar Mahal and observes participation from best musicians from around the world. It attracts an audience of young and adventurous urbanities every year, so give it a try once and you would also be a regular visitor year after year.

  1. SHREE THE SACRED FESTIVAL ( 16-17 DECEMBER):

This festival is a religious festival of music, yoga and meditation which is to be held at Pushkar. The soulful musical performances take the onlookers on a sacred journey.  Hymns and religious songs would be the major highlights of the festival .All those interested should definitely not give it a miss

  1. RANAKPUR FESTIVAL ( 21-22 DECEMBER):

Ranakpur is one of the five most important pilgrimages of Jainism. The famous Ranakpur Jain temple attracts large number of tourists from all over the world.

Ranakpur festival is organized with an aim of giving ultimate fun and enjoyment to its attendees. The activities range from yoga, hot air ballooning, visiting the Ranakpur temple, classical performances and what not! So pack your bags and participate in the festival.

  1. TAALBELIA FESTIVAL( 23-25 DECEMBER):

Music would be on your mind when you visit the three day Taalbelia festival at Mandawa town in Jhunjhunu. The patrons will have the taste of three types of music contemporary, classical and folk; in addition to that there would be adventurous activities, Rajasthani art and scrumptious food.

 

  1. WINTER FESTIVAL MOUNT ABU (29-30 DECEMBER):

Mount Abu is the only hill station of the Desert state Rajasthan. Its cool and pleasant weather makes it the must visit in every season and winters make the city more beautiful. The winter festival of Mount Abu is aimed at portraying the beauty of the hill station and presenting the warm hospitality and traditional values of the people in front of the tourists. Talking about its USP it is the only festival in Rajasthan that engages the participants in the game of cricket, apart from that it has poetry recitations, rowing and kite flying and many more. A must visit for all those who want to see the beautiful oasis in the desert state.

The multi-hued culture of Rajasthan will be on full display during the upcoming Kumbhalgarh Festival at the majestic Kumbhalgarh Fort. The festival aims to enthrall the onlookers with everything that Rajasthan stands for. Various cultural performances and competitions are planned to give the participants a glimpse of the rustic side of the state.

Something new is on the cards this year as the festival will have a fusion of basic Indian classical like Odissi dance and Bharatnatyam and Rajasthani folk. There will be Kalbeliyas, Langas, Terahtaali and Kachchi Ghodi to name a few.

Tourists will be able to participate in fun contests like turban tying competition and win prizes. Besides this, puppet shows will add more excitement to Kumbhalgarh Festival.

Here’s what to expect at this 3 day festival which will be held from 1st to 3rd December 2017.

1st December: Rajasthani Folk Fusion – Gair, Terahtaali, Langa, Kalbeliya, Kachchi Ghodi will be performed altogether on stage. After this Odissi Dance will be performed by Kavita Mohanti.

2nd December: Classical Dance fusion – Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Kathakali, KuchiPudi, MohiniAttam. All artists will be on stage at the same time. The theme for this classical performance is based on “Vande Mataram”.

3rd December: Flute and Sarod – Bansuri Vadan by Ronu Majumdar and Sarod by Dev Jyoti Bose. These two eminent artists will present a jugalbandi on stage.

Jaipur Jewellery Show 2017 will Open Next Month

The popular jewellery event, Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) is coming up with its 14th edition this year. The theme of the show is ‘Ruby- Red, Rare, Royal’ so expect blazing hues of red all around. The finest collection of gems and jewellery will be on display where exhibitors from India and various foreign countries will display their collections.

From rough stones to finished jewellery pieces, everything is displayed at this show which is also known as the ‘December Show’. The objective of the show is to ‘provide a platform to the manufacturers of Gem & Jewellery to market these products.’ JJS also intends to create awareness about the gems and jewellery industry and to provide a platform for gem & jewellery marketing on National & International level.

Here’s a good news for bird enthusiasts! The third edition of Bird Fair will begin on 25th December in Udaipur. Everyone from experts to bird-watchers to general public can be a part of this fun event. A bird photography competition for women and another photography competition will be the highlights of the Bird Fair in Udaipur. For students, quiz and poster-making competitions will be held. Children will be able to get bird-tattoos as well.

There will be a bird-racing on 22nd December. For the racing, the experts will be divided into multiple teams and taken to an area where they will analyze birds and submit their report to the organiser. The team, presenting report on the maximum number of birds, will win.

Famous fashion choreographer Prasad Bidapa will be presenting another edition of Rajasthan Heritage Week soon. The event is aimed towards ‘branding Khadi and Handloom masterpieces and position them as true luxury that is rare and unique.’

India has so many varieties of textiles and related art forms which need dedicated promotion.
